*SITTING QUEEN -- (Amber Rhum x Rippled Oasis) x (Catcher In The Eye x Ultraviolet Mood) Sev. 5.5 - 6" fl. 30 " sc. M 20 buds.  In the early days, there were applique throats whose reflective surface brought the center of the flower alive.  Then there were applique throats surrounded by a darker eye.  Sitting Queen increases the complexity of this pattern type by further breaking the lavender to purple eye into a pattern itself, with both a mascara edge and inward streaking.  For even more pazazz, the patterned eye continues around the petal edges as a multi-edged picotee, surrounded by a third wire gold edge.  All of this patterning is overlaid on a lavender to orchid peach self with a deep green throat.  The final result is a mesmerizing flower that glows in the garden.
