Woodlake Daylilies

Welcome Picture

A big THANK YOU to all of you who came to our 2012 Open Garden days!  It was wonderful to meet you!  We had a great response despite the horribly hot and dry conditions.  Be sure to keep your new plants well watered until they get established, and you will enjoy them for years to come!  As always, feel free to contact us with questions.

WELCOME TO OUR SITE!

Woodlake Daylilies is the garden of Lori and Daniel Smith. We have 200+ varieties of daylilies. There is a wide variety including everything from miniatures to spiders, classics to recent introductions. I can remember our first trip to a daylily garden and being amazed at the variety and beauty they have to offer -- there is something for everyone! (And, they are so easy to grow!)

One of the great things about daylilies is the people that we meet. We joined the American Hemerocllis Society (AHS) and the Bluegrass Hemerocallis Society (BGHS) and would recommend it to anyone interested in daylilies. It is a great source for daylilies, daylily information and friends!

We also love to meet guests that come to our garden in the little town of Stamping Ground, Kentucky where buffalo once congregated. The address is 1181 Woodlake Rd., Stamping Ground, KY 40379. It is just a short drive from Lexington, Frankfort, or Georgetown. Our Open Garden and Daylily Sale days will be Saturdays in June  from 9 am until 2 pm.  You are welcome to come other times, just be sure to call (502-535-4582) before you come so someone will be here to show you around.

Directions: From Georgetown, take 460 toward Frankfort. Turn right onto 227 and enjoy the approximately 8 mile country drive to Stamping Ground. Turn left onto Woodlake Rd. (1688 South), drive about 1/2 mile. You will see our mailbox (1181) in a group on the left. Turn right onto Woodlake Trace and follow the lane. It will end right at our house.  From Frankfort, take 460 towards Georgetown and turn left on Woodlake Rd.  When you see our mailbox on the right, turn to the left and follow the lane back to our home.
